What will high fuel prices mean this winter? Unite calls for energy 'Windfall Tax' to help ordinary working families
Unite joint general secretary Tony Woodley is calling for a windfall tax on energy utilities: "Energy companies in this country have seen their profits leap by an incredible 538 per cent in the last five years, that's money they've used to line shareholders' and executives' pockets. Yet all consumers have had is price pain.
"In homes across the country, people will be facing an inhumane choice this winter: that of whether to heat or eat."
That is why Unite has launched a campaign for a Windfall Tax
